In his autobiography, I WANTED TO WRITE (Doubleday, 1947) The great historical novelist Kenneth Roberts (1885-1957) refers to a letter he received from Kilham Roberts on 18 November 1936, offering to assist him in bringing legal action against his English publisher for an accounting and noting that "nothing would have any effect on the publisher except the threat of a writ".
