Alderman Frederick William Cocking, born Walkeringham, North Nottinghamshire, Jan 1867 (not 1864 as you state), died Doncaster, 13 Nov 1935). Mayor of Doncaster 1920. Brick manufacturer (Cocking & Sons Ltd, of Walkeringham and Doncaster). He was a JP, as you state, but as far as I know he didn't really have any connection with Leeds (unless, perhaps, Doncaster was a sub-district of Leeds in the judicial system).
