One of the founding members of Musical Youth together with his brother Patrick Waite, Kelvin Grant, Michael Grant and Dennis Seaton. The young band of schoolboys from Birmingham enjoyed global success in 1982 with the release of their single 'Pass the Dutchie' followed by other hits, before the members disbanded in 1985 with 3 number one hits under their belts.
