Gertie Gitana lived on Manor Road, Stoke Newington N16 5BN
This is my home now
Our elderly neighbour Gertie Cass remembered her when she was a little girl
She had a coach and driver and she lived on the first & second floor and her staff lived in the ground floor
She used to throw empty gin bottles out of the window into the front garden (we have found many in the garden)
Strangely I was born and grew up in stoke on trent and moved to London in my early 20s
