Sitter in 129 portraits
Princess Anne, the Queen's only daughter, was created Princess Royal in 1987. The Princess is a former Olympic horsewoman and an amateur jockey and, among the many organisations supported by her, she is President of the Save the Children Fund. She married firstly Captain Mark Phillips (1973-1992), and secondly Commander Timothy Laurence, (1992). Her two children, Peter and Zara, were born in 1977 and 1981. She has been a member of the International Olympic Committee since 1988 and serves on the board of LOCOG (the London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games).
