Joseph Brown

(1809-1887), Engraver

Joseph Brown was an engraver who exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1833, and was active until 1886. He produced stipple and line engravings after artists such as George Romney, John Opie, J. Robson and George Perfect Harding. Between 1852 and 1854 Brown engraved four portraits after Hayter for The Court Album.
