Samuel Freeman

Samuel Freeman was a London-based engraver. He studied under Francesco Bartolozzi, and one of his earliest independent portraits was that of Garrick, after Sir Joshua Reynolds, published in 1807. He specialised in stipple engraving and in crayon portraits. Other works by Freeman include a Holy Family, engraved from an original by Correggio, and a Madonna, after Raphael.
