Gerry Argles, born 1901, died 1979 was educated at Eton and Cambridge, became a stockbroker in London in around 1922 with J & A Scrimgeour, then with Shaw Loebl from 1928 to 1939. He was posted to Birmingham in 1939 as deputy in charge of food distribution and remained there after the war as Senior Partner of N Lea Barham and Brooks, Stockbroker. Chairman West Midland Conservative Association, OBE. Wife Rhona, no children.
