Charles William Anderson Scott
(1903-1946), AviatorSitter in 21 portraits
Aviator; served with the RAF and later as an air-mail pilot in Australia (1927-30). Made several record-breaking flights to and from Australia, and won, with T. Campbell Black, the Melborne Air Race in 1934, flying 11,296 miles from Suffolk in 2 days and 23 hours. Scott and Black completed their 70 hour and 59 minutes, world record creating journey, in a new De Havilland DH88 Comet.
