Henry William Paget, 1st Marquess of Anglesey (1768-1854), Field Marshal and Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland

Most of the 1st Marquess's portraits are at Plas Newydd and are used as illustrations in Lord Anglesey's One-Leg, 1961. The following list does not include political satires which are recorded in the British Museum Catalogue of Political and Personal Satires.

Oil painting by Beechey known from an engraving by Meyer published 4 March 1817 and showing Anglesey wearing Ribbon of Bath and Peninsula Medal but none of his Waterloo decorations. This does not appear in Beechey's Account Books and may in fact have been painted later than 1815. A similar (or the same) painting with the Waterloo decorations added was exported to the United States in 1949.

Coloured aquatint by Cooper and Sutherland after H. T. Alken, a brilliant equestrian print of Anglesey (as Earl of Uxbridge) in Hussar's uniform at Waterloo mounted on a grey horse with leopard skin shabracque, published 12 August 1815 by J. & J. Fuller together with companion prints of Wellington and Blücher (see W. H. Sparrow, 'Henry T. Alken Revisited' in Connoisseur, LXXXVII, 1931, p 152). Several less dramatic prints were also issued shortly after the battle.
