Regency Portraits Catalogue

Henry Hervey Baber (1775-1869), Philologist

The only other known portrait of Baber appears to be a lithograph vignette by Henry Corbould 1836 (example in British Museum inscribed 'I forget who he was though I remember his face perfectly well - Edward Henry Corbould').

This extended catalogue entry is from the out-of-print National Portrait Gallery collection catalogue: Richard Walker, Regency Portraits, National Portrait Gallery, 1985, and is as published then.
