A painting of 1864 by C. W. Cope is in a private collection, exhibited Dyce Exhibition, Aberdeen, 1964 and possibly RA, 1866 (501); a water-colour by D. Scott of 1832, and a silhouette by A. Edouart, are in the Scottish NPG; a drawing by C. Vogel is in the Küpferstichkabinett, Staatliche Kunstsammlungen, Dresden; a marble bust by E. G. Papworth senior is in the Aberdeen Art Gallery, exhibited RA, 1865 (934) and Dyce Exhibition, 1964 (96); a bust by L. Macdonald was exhibited Scottish National Portraits, Edinburgh, 1884 (575), lent by Professor C. Fraser; a medallion by G. G. Adams was exhibited RA, 1866 (951), and was issued by the Art Union in 1875 (example in NPG); silver impressions of a medal by G. G. Adams were exhibited RA, 1867 (1101); there is a memorial brass portrait in St Leonard's Church, Streatham; woodcuts were published ILN, XXX (1857), 418, after a photograph by J. Watkins, and XLIV (1864), 224, after a photograph by J. and C. Watkins; two or three photographs by Watkins are in the NPG.
