A drawing by T. Faed is in the Scottish NPG, and so is a plaster bust by Sir J. Steell, of which there is another cast in the Linnean Society, London; an enamel by H. Bone (from life) was exhibited RA, 1853 (649); a marble bust by N. N. Burnard is in Douglas, Isle of Man, exhibited RA, 1867 (1174); a bust by J. G. Lough is in the Geological Museum, London, exhibited RA, 1856 (1309), and another version is at King's College, London; a related plaster model was formerly at Elswick Hall, Newcastle, listed in Catalogue of Lough and Noble Models at Elswick Hall (c.1928), p 33 (101); a bust by E. H. Baily was in the Crystal Palace Portrait Gallery, 1854; a lithograph by T. H. Maguire was published Ransome, 1852 (example in NPG), for 'Ipswich Museum Portraits'; there is an anonymous lithograph in the NPG; a woodcut of the 'Meeting of the British Association at Southampton' was published ILN, IX (1846), 185, and another, after a photograph, XXV (1854), 564.
