Oil by Hayter exhibited RA 1825 (52). Henry Cohen, miniaturist and Hayter's pupil, exhibited a miniature RA 1826 (631), possibly a copy of Hayter's portrait.

'Coronation of Queen Victoria' oil by Hayter and 'Queen Victoria Receiving the Sacrament' oil by C. R. Leslie, both in the Royal Collection.

'Marriage of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert' oil by Hayter in Royal Collection (Buckingham Palace), engraved by Wagstaff 1844; Archbishop Harcourt officiated at the ceremony although retired from York since 1838.

'Christening of the Princess Royal' oil by C. R. Leslie in Royal Collection (Buckingham Palace),
engraved by Ryall 1849; a copy is in the House of Lords and a miniature copy by Sir William Newton was exhibited RA 1844 (771).

'Christening of the Prince of Wales' miniature by Sir William Newton lent to the Victorian Exhibition 1892 (422) by Mrs Newton.
