Plaster bust by Chantrey in Ashmolean Museum (576-64), commissioned posthumously for the Manchester Literary and Philosophical Society in 1836 (Sir Francis Chantrey’s Ledgers of Accounts, p 279).
Lonsdale's oil and Chantrey's marble bust were destroyed by enemy action in 1940 though the Society still possesses a copy of the Lonsdale, slightly smaller than the original but probably contemporary.
