Edmund Lyons, 1st Baron Lyons (1790-1858), Admiral

A painting by L. Dickinson of 1855 is in the collection of the Duke of Norfolk, exhibited SKM, 1868 (441), Royal Naval Exhibition, Chelsea, 1891 (633), and VE, 1892 (138); a copy by W. H. Gadsby is in the United Service Club, London; a painting by Margaret Thomas is at Admiralty House, Portsmouth; there is a reproduction of a drawing by Armitage in the NPG; an enamel miniature is in the collection of the Duke of Norfolk; a marble statue by M. Noble of 1860 is in St Paul's Cathedral, reproduced Captain S. Eardley-Wilmot,Life of Vice Admiral Lord Lyons (1898), facing p 418; a model for the statue is reproduced as a woodcut ILN, XXXVII (1860), 194; the statue was presumably based on the marble bust by Noble, exhibited RA, 1857 (1288); a bust by W. Theed of 188 is in the National Army Museum; a marble bust called Lyons by an unknown artist is in the collection of W. G. Julian; a marble bust by J. Loft was exhibited RA, 1856 (1353); an engraving by G. Zobel, after a painting by R. Buckner, was published Colnaghi, 1856 (example in NPG); a lithograph by J. H.
