Oil by William Nicholson known from a scarce mezzotint by Edward Burton; watercolour drawing by Nicholson, exhibited Scottish Academy 1827 (166) was offered by his son, James, in 1872 (Scharf's sketch in Trustees’ Sketchbooks, XVIII, 58); oil copy by James Nasmyth dated 1884 in Aberdeen Art Gallery.
