A painting by an unknown artist is in the Stromness Town Hall, Orkney; a bust by G. Maccallum was exhibited RA, 1866 (1044); a daguerreotype by Beard is reproduced as a woodcut ILN, XXV (1854), 421 there is a photograph by E. Dallas of Edinburgh (example in NPG); a woodcut (probably after a photograph) was published The Graphic, XLVIII (1893), 130; there is a reproduction of a photograph from an unidentified magazine (cutting in NPG).
