A marble bust by E. Davis is in the Royal Society, London, exhibited RA, 1871 (1259); another marble bust by Davis of 1876 is in the Institution of Electrical Engineers, London; the portrait of Ronalds in 'Men of Science' was apparently based on a photograph (no example located).

This extended catalogue entry is from the out-of-print National Portrait Gallery collection catalogue: Richard Ormond, Early Victorian Portraits, Her Majesty's Stationery Office, 1973, and is as published then.
