Early Victorian Portraits Catalogue

Richard Rothwell (1800-1868), Painter

There are self-portraits in the National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin, and the Ulster Museum, Belfast; six more are listed by W. G. Strickland, Dictionary of Irish Artists (1913), II, 307; a self-portrait, not apparently recorded by Strickland, was in the Chicago Institute of Arts, 1901, on loan from Mrs M. Macabe; a miniature by Mrs M. B. Green was exhibited RA, 1833 (772), and a bust by E. Richardson, RA, 1847 (1432).
