William Boyce (1711-1779), Organist and composer

Organist and composer; composer to the King 1736; organist at the Chapel Royal 1758; wrote the air for Heart of Oak; published Lyra Britannica from 1745, and edited Cathedral Music 1760-78; his later life affected by deafness.
