A drawing of Dickens reading The Chimes to his friends by D. Maclise of 1844 is in the Victoria and Albert Museum; a drawing by J. Doyle is in the British Museum; a miniature by Miss M. Gillies was exhibited RA, 1833 (787); a portrait by J. Lilley and a bust by T. Earle were exhibited RA, 1845 (1209), and 1853 (1392); an engraving of the 'Anti-Corn Law League' by S. Bellin, after a painting by J. R. Herbert of 1847, was published Agnew, 1850 (example in NPG); a woodcut was published ILN, XII (1848), 298.
