Roberts, Romney, 1904, II, p 71/1); versions of this have been exhibited Third Exhibition of National Portraits, South Kensington, 1868 (859), Sotheby's 12 December 1951 (105), exported to Canada, and 'Phillimore exhibition of family portraits' at Bridge Place, Canterbury 1963, lent by Appleby.

Brown ink and grey wash drawing in British Museum (1914-2-16-1), a slight group of Hayley with the Hon Charles Greville, Emma Hart (Lady Hamilton) and Romney himself, reproduced in Walter Sichel, Emma Lady Hamilton, 1905 and exhibited Kenwood 1972 (12); another version is at Yale University.

Whole-length in Paul Mellon Collection; an oil sketch for Hayley's head in this picture was at Newnham Hall (Colonel Chandos-Pole) in 1973.
