A painting by H. Weigall is in the National Museum of Wales, exhibited RA, 1863 (135), SKM, 1868 (444), and VE, 1892 (98); see J. Steegman, Portraits in Welsh Houses, II (1962), 212 (12); a painting by Sir J. Watson Gordon was in the collection of the Rev J. G. Walker, 1953; Lewis appears in J. Phillip's painting of 'The House of Commons, 1860', in the Houses of Parliament, engraved by T. O. Barlow, published Agnew, 1866 (example in NPG); and in the painting 'Baron de Rothschild Introduced into the House of Commons, 1858' by H. Barraud in the Rothschild collection; a drawing by L. Pagan is reproduced Fagan, Life of Sir A. Panizzi (1880), I, 302; a bronze statue by Baron C Marochetti is at Hereford, reproduced as a woodcut ILN, XLV (1864), 269 a bust by H. Weekes is in Westminster Abbey, exhibited RA, 1864 (911); a bust by G. J. S. Miller was exhibited RA, 1864 (1052); a model for a bust by W. M. Thomas was exhibited RA, 1864 (937); there are various photographs in the NPG; woodcuts, after three of them, were published ILN, XVI (1850), 388, XXVI (1855), 441, and XLII (1863), 453, and one was engraved by W. Holl as the frontispiece to Letters of the Right Hon Sir George Cornewall Lewis, edited Rev Sir G. F. Lewis (1870); there is an engraving by D. J. Pound, after a photograph by J. Watkins, published 1860 (example in NPG), for Pound's 'Drawing Room Portrait Gallery'.
