Robert Stewart, 2nd Marquess of Londonderry (Lord Castlereagh) (1769-1822), Statesman

Londonderry House in Park Lane was demolished c.1960 and replaced with the Hilton Hotel. Most of the family portraits were removed to Wynyard Park, Cleveland, Yorks.

Marble busts by Nollekens dated 1812 in Quentin Johnson collection (formerly Bayham Abbey); plaster model exhibited RA 1811 (938) was destroyed at Londonderry House 1940.

Oil by Lawrence at Wynyard, exhibited RA 1814 (23), three-quarter-length in dark coat, buff breeches, Star of Garter (added after Congress of Vienna); replicas in Windsor Castle and Mountstewart and Arniston (H. Montgomery Hyde, Londonderry House and its Pictures, 1937, plate XXI); mezzotint (without Garter) by C. Turner 1814 (Alfred Whitman, Charles Turner, 1907, 323).
