Miniature probably painted about the time of his second marriage, in a private collection framed with miniatures of his wife and sister-in-law (John Summerson, John Nash Architect to King George IV, 1935, plate IV and John Summerson, The Life and Works of John Nash Architect, 1980, plate 7B).

Oil by Richard Evans in a private collection Scotland, nearly whole-length seated to left in red upholstered armchair, dark blue coat with brass buttons, right hand on table with a plan (unidentified) and a bundle of documents, part of Lower Regent Street with no.14 (his own house) in background; it was exhibited RA 1826 (272), (John Summerson, The Life and Works of John Nash Architect, 1980, p 195 and plate 1). A copy, probably also by Richard Evans, passed down in the Pennethorne family and is now in another private collection.

Oil by Lawrence at Jesus College, Oxford, exhibited RA 1827 (314) and NPG 1979 (7) and painted for the College at Nash's request in lieu of payment for services in connection with College property; a letter from Nash to Lawrence 20 December 1824 indicates sittings in 1824-5: 'I shall be in town on the 6th and ready for another sitting' (MS in private collection, Scotland); a letter from Lawrence to Jesus College 10 March 1826 acknowledges 'the sum of £210 being half the price of the portrait painting by me of John Nash Esqr for the College of Jesus' (this and other letters in Jesus College library). Marble bust by Behnes in private collection, incised: W.Behnes sculp. 1830 and exhibited RA 1831 (1184); a plaster cast is in the RIBA and a stone replica by Cecil Thomas (1956) on the portico of All Souls, Langham Place.

Caricatures
Nash appears in Cruikshank's 'Economical Humbug' 28 April 1816, 'Economy-' 1 May 1816, and the famous caricature 'Nashional Taste!!!' 7 April 1824, where he is shown painfully spiked on the spire of All Souls, Langham Place (reproduced Bolton, Portrait of Sir John Soane, 1927, p 352); Mark's satire 'The Royal George Afloat ...' September 1820, relates to the alleged liaison between George IV and Mrs Nash, a myth long since exploded by Sir John Summerson (British Museum Satires, IX, 12762, 12766 and X, 14644, 13854).
