Landscape painter, son of the painter William Oram (1704-77); exhibited landscapes at the Society of Artists, London, 1766 and RA 1775-90 and 1798-99; sometime the assistant of De Loutherbourg, he painted scenery for the Royalty Theatre which flourished in 1788-89 (see John Palmer).
