A painting by W. E. Miller was in the collection of the artist, 1930, exhibited Fifth Summer Exhibition, New Gallery, 1892 (7); a drawing by S. Palmer of 1827, showing Richmond engraving 'The Shepherd' (presumably 'Abel the Shepherd' by Richmond, exhibited RA, 1825 (333)), was in the collection of Mrs W. Richmond, 1947, reproduced G. Grigson, Samuel Palmer— the Visionary Years (1947), plate 23; a drawing called Richmond (probably correctly) by S. Palmer of 1827 was sold Sotheby's, 4 April 1968 (lot 86), reproduced in catalogue; a drawing by Sir W. B. Richmond is reproduced A. M. W. Stirling, The Richmond Papers (1926), p 371; a drawing called Richmond (probably correctly) is in the NPG reference files; there is an engraving by Stephenson and Royston, after a portrait by W. Lovatt of 1842 (example in NPG); there are several photographs in the NPG; two are reproduced A. M. W. Stirling facing pp 72 and 402; and two as woodcuts in ILN, XLIX (1866), 216, and Magazine of Art (1896), p 296.
