Richard Rothwell (1800-1868), Painter

Painter; trained in Dublin, where he worked for a time; member of the Royal Hibernian Academy, 1826; subsequently moved to London, where he was assistant to Sir Thomas Lawrence; exhibited at RA from 1830, chiefly portraits and fancy pictures, for which he was noted.
