Rodwell is in the collection of Earl Mountbatten; a painting by F. Havill was sketched and recorded by G. Scharf, 1888, Sir George Scharf's Trustees' Sketch Books, XXXV, 3; a painting by Sir J. E. Millais of 1877 is owned by the British and Foreign Bible Society, London, exhibited RA, 1878 (242), Winter Exhibition, Grosvenor Gallery, 1886 (72), VE, 1892 (129), and Old Masters, RA, 1898 (64), reproduced J. G. Millais, Life and Letters of Sir J. E. Millais (1899), II, 85, engraved by R. Josey, published H. Graves, 1878 (example in NPG); a painting called Shaftesbury by an unknown artist was in the collection of Hugh Cameron, Boston, USA, 1958; a painting by M. Stewart was exhibited Victorian Era Exhibition, 1897, 'Historical Section' (5), lent by the French Reformed Evangelical Church, Bayswater; a painting by an unknown artist was at Crichel, Dorset, 1938 a drawing by G. Merrett were in the Guildhall Art Gallery, London (the marble destroyed 1940); busts by J. Adams-Acton and R. C. Belt were exhibited RA, 1886 (1868), and 1884 (1708); a marble bust by M. Noble of 1859 is in the church at Wimborne St Giles, Dorset, presumably the bust exhibited RA, 1859 (1327), reproduced as a woodcut ILN, XXXV (1859), 178, which was presented to Lady Shaftesbury; an engraving by W. J. Edwards, after F. Sandys, was published H. Graves, 1855 (example in NPG); an engraving by H. Robinson, after Sir W. C. Ross, was published G. Virtue (example in NPG); there is an engraving by F.
