The following portraits are at Chevening: a painting by J. Lucas of 1837, reproduced A. Lucas, John Lucas (1910), plate XXI (where a replica for Sir E. Kerrison is also mentioned), engraved by W. and F. Holl, published R. Ryley, J. Fraser, and F. G. Moon, 1839 (example in NPG), for Virtue's 'Portraits of Conservative Statesmen'; a painting by L. Dickinson, presumably a replica of the portrait owned by Countess Beauchamp (see below); a painting by W. W. Ouless of 1875, exhibited RA, 1876 (430); a painting by Miss Donkin after E. M. Ward's portrait of 1854 (see below); a water-colour by an unknown artist (with his brother George), sketched by G. Scharf, Sir George Scharf's Sketch Books (NPG archives), XCIII, 72; a water-colour by W. Haines (in coronation robes), also listed by Scharf, engraved by S. W. Reynolds (example at Chevening); a bust by L. Macdonald of 1854, of which there is a copy in the NPG (499).
A painting by an unknown artist was in the collection of the Hon Mrs Douglas Hamilton, Norfolk, 1933; a painting by J. Partridge of 1845, a study for the 'Fine Arts Commissioners' (see NPG 342), is in the Society of Antiquaries, London, reproduced Burlington Magazine, CIX (1967), 403; a painting by L. Dickinson was in the possession of the sitter's daughter, Countess Beauchamp, listed, together with a marble bas-relief, in the Madresfield Court Catalogue (1909), pp 26 and 40, and in Scharf's catalogue of the same collection (1878), p 24 (the artist given as J. L. Dickenson in both, but as L. Dickinson on the engraving, which must be right, as there are no other portraitists of the name), engraved anonymously, published J. Murray, 1873 (example in NPG); there is a replica(?) at Chevening, listed in Canon Scott Robertson, Chevening Church and Chevening House (1891), p 22, and List of Portraits, Etc at Chevening (1931) p 39 (as by 'Dickenson' in both), the dates of the various Chevening and Madresfield catalogues proving that there are two versions, and not one; a painting by E. M. Ward of 1854 (in his study) is at Hughenden Manor, and a copy by Miss Donkin of 1879 is at Chevening (see above); a painting by W. Yellowlees was exhibited RA, 1829 (405); two drawings by J. Doyle, and a drawing by G. Scharf of 1873 or 1876, are in the British Museum; a drawing called Stanhope by an unknown artist is in the collection of the Countess of Longford; there is an engraving by F. C. Lewis, after J. Slater (example in NPG), for the 'Grillions Club' series; there are several photographs in the NPG (see plate 851), and one is reproduced as a woodcut ILN, XXXII (1858), 401; a woodcut was published ILN, LXVIII (1876), 61.
