Unattributed miniature, half-length oval in green coat. Sotheby’s, 27 November 1972, lot 37. The head appears to agree with that shown in Abbott’s double portrait with Macartney (see Macartney NPG 329).

Europa und die Kaiser von China, Berlin, 1985, p 176), and a whole-length Staunton wearing the robes of a Doctor of Laws of Oxford University which he wore for this audience (illus. V&A Album 4, 1985, p 302).
