Oil by Hoppner in University College, Oxford (R. L. Poole, Catalogue of Oxford Portraits, II, p 12), three-quarter-length in black robes and judge's wig, exhibited RA 1806 (183), mezzotint by G. Clint 1807.
1811
Oil by Owen in the Royal Courts of Justice (GAC 0/346/1), whole-length in black robes with mace, painted c.1811 for his brother Lord Eldon; replicas by Owen are in Convocation House, Oxford (R. L. Poole, Catalogue of Oxford Portraits, I, p 131) and Guildhall, Newcastle-upon-Tyne; a replica in the Bodleian Library was seen and sketched by Scharf in 1867 (Sir George Scharf’s Trustees’ Sketchbooks, XI, 81).

Drawing by Phillips in his sketchbook (in a private collection), was etched by Mrs Dawson Turner 'after T Phillips RA 1816'; this was probably the origin of the smiling half-length in a madder coat at Petworth (264).

Oil by Lawrence painted for Sir Robert Peel, three-quarter-length in a black suit without wig, exhibited RA 1824 (38), sold Peel Heirlooms, Robinson & Fisher 29 November 1917 (96).

Oils by Phillips listed in the Sitter Book (MS copy in NPG library) under 1827 and 1831: (1) for the Middle Temple, half-length seated to right in black robes and wig, exhibited RA 1827 (71), mezzotint by Charles Turner 1828 (Alfred Whitman, Charles Turner, 1907, 54); (2) for Corpus Christi College, Oxford (R. L. Poole, Catalogue of Oxford Portraits, II, p 273), half-length seated to left in black robes and wig holding a paper, painted in response to a request from the College made in December 1818 and exhibited RA 1831 (87).
Posthumous
A marble group designed by Chantrey or W. C. Marshall and executed by Watson & Nelson is in University College, Oxford, portraying the two brothers Lord Eldon and Lord Stowell.
A similar group was shown by Marshall in the Great Exhibition 1851 (Illustrated London News Exhibition Supplement, 1851, p 464). Wash drawings in a sketchbook were with William Drummond (Covent Garden Gallery) in 1979. A daguerreotype by Beard, taken of the statue in about 1850, was engraved by J. Moore.
