Engraving by P. Vandrebanc, bust-length oval, wearing rochet and chimere, dated. The plate altered from one of Archbishop Lamplugh (G. S. Layard, Catalogue raisonné of engraved British portraits from altered plates, 1927, no.67).

Drawn and engraved by Robert White (ad vivum delin. et sculp., lettered … Archi-Episcopus Cantuariensis … Serenissimo Regi Gulielmo IIIo. a Secretioribus Consiliis), bust-length oval, grey hair, wearing rochet and chimere. Similar drawing in the Pierpont Morgan collection (C. F. Bell, Wal. Soc., XIV, 1926, p 69). A painted copy in the Usher Art Gallery, Lincoln, possibly that recorded by G. Vertue, Notebooks, Wal. Soc., XVIII, 1930, p 127, as painted by Bishop Thomas Green (1658-1738), and see NPG 1525. A similar head engraved by R. White as one of the Lords Justices of England, with the 1st Duke of Devonshire, 6th Earl of Dorset, 1st Earl of Godolphin, 8th Earl of Pembroke, 1st Duke of Shrewsbury and Baron Somers.

Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. A version at Knole (C. J. Phillips, History of the Sackville Family, 1929, II, p 433) and a reduced copy in the Bishop’s House, Lincoln.

Unattributed painting, three-quarter-length seated, grey hair, wearing rochet and chimere, hands on chair arms, inscribed. Old Deanery, Westminster, from Sion College, London.

Soc., XVIII, 1930, pp 82,102, Wal. Soc., 1932, p 139; illus. J. Ingamells, The English Episcopal Portrait 1559-1835, catalogue, 1981). Exhibited Second Special Exhibition of National Portraits ( ... William and Mary to MDCCC), South Kensington, 1867, no.31. A copy formerly at Archbishop Tenison’s School, London, sold Christie’s, 1 March 1985, lot 164, another by W. Cooper 1858 in the Bishop’s House, Lincoln.

Mezzotint, half-length oval, own grey hair, wearing rochet and chimere (J. Chaloner Smith, British Mezzotinto Portraits, IV, p 1708, no.110). Resembling the Robert White head; possibly, as Chaloner Smith noted, an altered plate.
