A painting by H. W. Phillips was exhibited RA, 1842 (138); possibly the painting attributed to Phillips, and said to be of 1844, at Calke Abbey, Derby, 1925 (reproduction in NPG); a drawing by J. F. Lewis was sold Sotheby's, 18 December 1963 (lot 170), bought Colnaghi; a photograph by E. Edwards is reproduced L. Reeve, Men of Eminence, I (1863), 73, and ILN (as a woodcut, detail only), LXVII (1875), 500.
