Drawings of men about town by Alfred, Count D'Orsay, 1832-48

61 Portraits in set

61 drawings which the artist intended for his own collection as a visual diary of his friends and contemporaries, many of which were autographed by the sitters. All of the drawings are in profile, for the most part half-length. They are nearly all signed and dated and several indicate the place where they were drawn, and so provide valuable biographical information about the artist and his activities.
