The prints and negatives show Alice Liddell - the original inspiration for the fictional Alice in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and other stories - and her siblings in various tableaux, often in costume. They were part of a collection given to the Liddell family by Dodgson and were sold by the Alice Family Trust. Purchased jointly with the National Science and Media Museum, Bradford, with help from the Art Fund and the National Heritage Memorial Fund
