Moyne album, 1934

208 Portraits in set

Album containing around two hundred snapshot images, mostly taken during Lord and Lady Moyne’s 1934 cruise to the Middle East on board their yacht Rosaura. Other notable guests during the month long cruise were Winston and Clementine Churchill who feature in the album. They visited Athens, Cyprus, Jericho and Petra and then travelled across the Sinai desert to Cairo, where Churchill painted the pyramids. This album of snapshots was probably compiled by Lady Moyne and includes her annotations of the people and places photographed during the cruise.
