This photographic portrait was part of a collection of portraits published in a book 'Faces of Law' published by Wildy, Simmonds and Hill 2008. At the time of the portrait the sitter was a QC who was also a Deputy High Court Judge. He was appointed as a Justice of the UK Supreme Court in 2012 and retired in 2018.
