London-based Slovakian photographer Tereza Cervenová photographed O’Connell at his family home in the city of Derby. The portrait was taken through a window as O’Connell looked out to the garden. For Cervenová, the portrait shows a ‘juxtaposition of strength and vulnerability in a setting where the boundaries between interior and exterior are blurred.’
