This drawing was completed in preparation for two finished oil portraits. Branagh sat for Davidson when directing his live-action re-make of Disney’s Cinderella (2015). Davidson described the sitting as a ‘meeting of two Belfast men’, having both grown up in Northern Ireland in the 1960s.
