Artist's statement: This is my son doing home-schooling in our small outdoor space, the balcony. This is currently our new normal. We live in a two-bedroom, third floor flat in London. Space is limited, and with schools closed we tried to make as much use as possible of the outdoor space that we have. My son enjoys being at school and learning new things, so ‘lockdown learning’, above the heads of fellow residents and passers-by, was amusing and interesting to him and kept him engaged.
