Artist's statement: During lockdown, my dad became one with our garden and inspired us as a family to pitch in and come closer together in this time. We were some of the really lucky ones during this terrible time. As a photography student, I was one of the many students who had to bring their studies home. I found it challenging at first, however the more I made photographs, the more confident and excited I became. I took the opportunity to use my love of portraiture to explore my family and our garden, identifying with our home, being a close family and being thankful for all of them.
