This is one of her first formal portraits and marks her thirteenth birthday showing her in the uniform of the First Buckingham Palace Company of Girl Guides. The Princess wears a badge denoting her as Leader of the Robin Patrol. Taken shortly before she went to Benenden School, Kent as a new girl on 20 September, 1963.
