The Kapp Putsch threatens the newly formed Weimar Republic. In defiance of the Treaty of Versailles, the leaders of the Marinebrigade Ehrhardt refused to disband and marched on Berlin, occupying it on the 13th March. The image to the left is likely to be of Margaret Aileen Eaden who was born at Chailey, Sussex, in 1909, the daughter of Edward Eaden (1845-1912), solicitor, of Edgbaston, and his second wife (married 1908) Annie Elizabeth Hutchings who was a native of Haverfordwest. The mother was born in 1878 and might be the lady silhouetted right. The daughter was resident at Haverfordwest when, described as student, she entered the USA in 1935.
