This is the only recorded likeness of Bourchier, and was bequeathed at the same time as a portrait of the donor's father, Admiral Sir Edward Codrington (see NPG 721).

Healthy complexion, brown eyes, grey hair. Dressed in dark stock, white shirt, black coat and yellow waistcoat. Background colour dark reddish-brown.
