Palish complexion, brown eyes, brown hair and whiskers; dressed in a white necktie, frilled white shirt, black velvet(?) waistcoat and black coat, holding a pair of spectacles; leaning one arm on a maroon chair-arm(?). Most of background covered by a brown curtain of various shades; patch of greenish-grey lower left.
