This is a replica of NPG 1221, and was commissioned by Lady Franklin. The only difference between the two portraits is in the arrangement of the medals.
Physical descriptionback to top
Healthy complexion, brown eyes, brown hair and whiskers. Dressed in a dark stock, white shirt, and dark blue uniform, with a silver belt, gold-braided collar and epaulettes, gilt buttons, white enamel star, and silver medals with multi-coloured ribbons. Background colour dark brown.

Commissioned by Lady Franklin, and bequeathed by her niece, Miss Sophia Cracroft, in accordance with the wishes of her aunt, 1892.
