It is not certain which brother this drawing represents. The only other recorded portrait of either of them is a water-colour of William in the Garrick Club, London, exhibited Victorian Era Exhibition, 1897, 'Music and Drama Section' (604). A comparison between this and the NPG drawing is not conclusive either way.
