Harding lived at 4 Gordon Square during the 1840s. The date of the portrait is based on costume and the apparent age of the sitter.
Physical descriptionback to top
Healthy complexion, pale grey eyes, reddish-brown hair and side whiskers. Dressed in a dark stock, green cravat, gold pin and chain, white shirt, brown waistcoat and brown coat with a velvet collar. Background colour dark brown.
